This is the one where Kirk and Uhura (kinda) kiss. Also, where Kirk kinda gets beat up by a dwarf. (Upon close examination, one will discover that he is simply trying to prevent a dwarf from injuring himself as he is telekinetically thrashed about by evil Space-Greeks and the resultant struggle results in some minor Kirk injury.) This episode is a fucking mess. And, even though all Trek episodes are roughly 50 minutes, this one seems to last forever. ‘Cause nothing really happens — just scene after scene of Kirk & co. being humilated by these superbeings who make them dance around and say dopey things. But, much like Spock’s Brain (and unlike And The Children Shall Lead) there is some camp value here. A lot of it.
