The best part of reading this comics collection was Ann seeing me with it and asking, “Why are you reading about Bobo Fett?”

Boba Fett is, of course, the coolest character in the Star Wars Universe. I have a theory as to why. In the first three films (by which I mean the last three films) all you ever really see are Imperialists and the Rebellion (and Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.) You never see anyone outside that conflict. The character of Boba Fett, even if he only has, what, four lines, opens the world up in tremendous ways.

This book is a collection of one-shot missions. Fett is hired to track someone and, as is usually the case, some serious shit goes down. Some of the episodes are simple – almost haikus, if you will – others are grander and more tragic, one featuring a whole holocaust allegory.

Impressive. Most impressive.

Below – witness the douchery of Lucas’s tinkery.
