Ann and I hit the surprisingly good John Waters exhibit at the New Museum today. I was expecting just, like, stills and props from his films, which would’ve been fun. But Waters, surprise, is a genuine artist. He main gimmick is to take photographs of his television and create juxtapositions. It’s fantastic and very inspiring. Some involve “The Bad Seed!” They also had screenings of his early shorts, which had a quality.
