A decent enough “hunting for clues” episode wherein Troi experiences empathic echoes – enough to drive her batty. I must admit, I neither understand nor buy the ending. It sounded like a bunch of babbling to me, no matter how hard LaForge tried to dumb it down for us. All I know is that some bad people were at one time doing something horrible on the Enterprise and that vibe is still floating around for someone to catch (and throw themselves into a plasma emitter in a warp nacelle.) The good stuff here is seeing Worf and Troi get it on – even if it is just a dream sequence.
