Adventureland is not just sweet, tender and funny, it is a welcome respite from the LCD (alleged) comedies like, say, The Hangover that think gross-outs and vulgar sex jokes are all you need to be funny.
Adventureland is as horny as the next teen flick, but is handled in a clever and mature manner.
I swear it isn’t just because I worked at an amusement park that I loved this film.
