Run out this instant and buy the newest issue of the New Yorker Magazine. Marc Fisher has a wonderful profile of the great Bob Fass – one of the great all time New Yorkers. I used to listen to his very faint signal while in high school and when I moved to NYC at age 17 I can’t deny that I was one of those confused voices on his party line mixed in with Pete Seeger melodies and Nixon sound bytes. I once got him to go off on a long story concerning Emmet Grogan.
