Here’s a movie I’ve been catching bits of on television since I was 9 years old but have never actually seen. You know what? It isn’t as good as you remember. It’s actually pretty dopey. The performances, Lee Marvin, Telly Savalas, John Cassavetes, Charles Bronson, Donald Sutherland, Ernest Borgnine, Jim Brown and more are all pretty terrific, though.
