I saw this in advance of Sundance, but I also didn’t hear anything about an embargo.

Take the movie Greenberg, reduce the budget by 100 times, and then you have Uncle Kent. This film also has the added benefit/problem of being rooted in extreme realism – lots of improv, no second takes, footage from a Flip cam. (Keeping much of the conversation about schtupping will ensure that most people will stay in their seats – it’s a smart move.)

When the movie ended, I was all up in arms about not liking it. Cassavetes would be ashamed, I shouted. I must admit that, after a few days, it has stuck with me.
