There’s so much I don’t know about flamingos!
Or, at least that was the case before I saw this quick, beautiful film about them.
I’m not ashamed to admit I knew nothing of their very specific mating and migration rituals. Nor did I know just how otherworldly Tanzania’s Lake Natron is. This is a very well done nature film (as one can expect from the Disneynature label) and the music is terrific, too.
Careful, though, putting this on for your kids. No punches are pulled about the brutality of existence – e.g. many cute and fluffy chicks get eaten by evil Marabou Storks, who may be the best Disney villain since Cruella Da Ville
