There’s nothing new under the sun. Anything you’ve ever liked in a Bond film was already done in 1928 by Fritz Lang and he did it without the cool theme song. Dapper leading man, ferociously sexy double agent, dopey chief, wacky gadgets, thrilling chases in variegated settings, menacing baddie in spectacularly designed evil underground baddie location. You name it! Also, like all Bond films, this goes on way too long. Two-and-a-half-hours! It looks gorgeous, but I think I kinda lost in the middle stretches a few times. (But I did watch this when I was sick.) A must for style-mongers
