Imagine a time before HBO, before comedy central. . .when top comics would film their gigs and the results would wind up in theaters. Seems like another world. This particular film pretty much blows. For one thing, the New Orleans audience, drunk out of their skulls, keeps interrupting Pryor and ruins his concentration. It is rude and embarrasing. If you want to see a top notch Pryor concert film, check out 1982’s “Live On The Sunset Strip.”
