There has been a surprising lack of information on the SS Fun about the thing that’s been occupying the bulk of my time of late. (No — not the cat, although he still is adoreable and, sure, I should put some more photos of him up.) Kerry and I are in the hardcore stages of pre-production of Body/Antibody (super duper link here), a feature we’re shooting on Super 16mm this summer. In fact, yags, our pencilled in start date is in about 6 weeks. The budget is minute by movie standards, but astronomical by LeisureSuit Media standards. (We’re getting it in the can — meaning before editing, sound mix and blow-up — for the price of 5 Ultrachrist!s.)

I think it is the best script we’ve created so far (although I still have a fondness for Hatchet Man, but those of you who came to last year’s staged reading know what a difficult sell that is.) We’ve just hired a dynamite casting director, locked a spectacular principle location (a few locations still need to be pinned down) and cast our leading lady. We’re in the process of meeting DPs and, no I’m not shitting you, finding ourselves a good cockroach wrangler.

I don’t know how much blogging about it I’ll be doing here. I like this space for my movie reviews, occassional anti-Bush Administration diatribes and pics of me and Ann on our weekend jaunts. So definitely head over to http://www.leisuresuit.net/bodyantibody/ to stay in the loop.
