I have no time for people who mine dull, low-budget exploitation films searching for deep meaning. A horror film must either have an element of wit (Romero’s Dead films) or actually be frightening (like, say, Last House on the Left). This is just boredom broken up with some knife attacks. To quote Anthony Burgess quoting Shakespeare, “I find no mirth in spilled entrails.”
