I just remembered that I watched this some time last week and never blogged it. That just about tell you how good it is, I guess. It certainly is interesting, but gripping cinema it is not. Quentin Crisp, Gore Vidal = good talking heads. Armistead Maupin, Jan Oxenberg = boring talking heads. The movie ends “up,” implying that equal rights for gays are right around the corner. I wonder what this movie would be like today, now that gay equals terrorist. Something like Ned Flanders’ “The Passion of Cain and Abel?”
