By far the best Russian Snow-Themed Clown Show I’ve ever seen. And at $19 through TDF, it was hard to complain. (If I’d’ve paid the full $60, I’d’ve wanted at least six or seven more Russian men in floppy hats throwing confetti at me!)

I didn’t see it but I did see Cirque du Soleil’s Allegria with my mother back in like 95 or something. There was a moment when one of the clowns took out a small piece of tissue paper. I only vaguely remember the details of his routine that followed but I remember him miming (or maybe it was a really strong fan) walking against a very strong wind. And then all these bits of tissue paper flew into the audience. My mother saved a few pieces as a souvenir. We sat in the front row and a blanket or something fell over us and the fan stopped. Just for fun, we kind of grabbed hold of the blanket tight to see if the clown would still be on stage when the lights came back on.
Then I saw a commercial for Slava’s Snowshow. I don’t know if they mentioned that Slava used to be with Cirque du Soleil but the bit of the snow blowing into the audience was exactly the same as what we saw in Allegria.
The more I think about Slava’s Snowshow the more enraged I am by it. Even at $19 it was a frickin’ rip off. I hate Slava and I hope he gets caught in a real snow storm.
What? I thought you liked it. Are you enraged because of what I said? Because Slava merely recycled his old routine from Allegria? Someone here at the store saw it and he said he liked it. But then, I’m sure he’s not as big an entertainment connoisseur like you. (That was meant in earnest – no sarcasm here.)
I dunno. I guess it’s okay. Nah. . .it sucked. I hated it. And I hate Slava.
