Although I disagree with his take completely, it is remarkable to see mouth-breathing genre film fans try and match wits with Dr. Jurgen Fauth, a man who dared to dislike The Dark Knight. You can read over 100 comments from people calling him gay and dumb and, my favorite, a hat-wearing Brooklynite.
I’ve known the joys of disagreeing with Jurgen for years, so I’m glad to see that others are getting their chance. Will his probably five star review of “Clone Wars” garner the same effect?
Not exactly sure who this dude is. He does come off as very pretentious (‘ooh everyone loves it, so I’m gonna hate it and it’s big budget’) and of course a major PRICK for spoiling. Kinda reminds me of that other guy…Mr. Cranky is it? The one who finds faults in every movie. I guess they are both supposed to be funny.
I wouldn’t have minded if there had been a spoiler, but I didn’t spot one… Is it possible it is only a “hindsight spoiler”? I have NO idea what the spoiler is after reading the brief review several times.
I often agree with Jurgen, much to Kerry’s chagrin, so I am discouraged… Have to sit through it tomorrow! I didn’t like the first Nolan Batman movie . As for Burton’s, I thought it was a genius stroke of casting to have Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne. With Keaton as Batman, he is Batman because of science and technology, not push-ups. (Of course I am partial to smart, technologically sophisticated men.) And he was funny and offbeat and unpredictable as Wayne. ( Of course I am partial to funny and offbeat men.) I want so much to like Christian Bale but I never do – I never feel anything he is feeling, I never believe him, no matter how much weight he loses. Felt that way in Batman Returns.
Poor Jurgen. I guess anyone who writes reviews has to be able to “take it,” but goodness, people are so vicious! Talk about immorality… beating someone up verbally for his opinion is pretty low, it seems to me.
