An unlikely story about a friendship between a young orthodox woman and a young observant muslim woman. You’d think this’d be unwatchable and, while it is a little corny, is really quite lovely. The twist is that the two girls bond over their observancy and, in a twist making this the most tolerant movie ever made, are pitched against the do-gooder liberals who want to force modernity on them. Somehow, you root for them.
