I agree. I never understood why this was so “loved” by horror fanatics. Maybe becasue it is based on true events? Either way, It is simply disgusting, that’s all there is to it.

Texas Chainsaw is soaking in texture and atmosphere and has almost no gore in it despite viewers imagining otherwise. It ‘s all visceral primal imagery, running on the logic of a nightmare.
Movie reviewing is like wine tasting- if you don’t like something, sometimes its not because it’s bad, but because your PALLETTE IS NOT DEVELOPED ENOUGH. In other words, your not
“noticing” what your seeing, because you’re too busy asking the movie to defend itself.
When a movie is as revered as this one,its a clue that you should tone down the arrogance and watch with less of a detached eye and mind.
I read your other reviews and repeat the advice for alot of them.
