. . . .where the hell are these guys getting all these Danish flags from? One of the arguements that sympathetic lefties have concerning the spread of fundamentalism in the Arab world is something on the order of: “these people are poor, they are disenfranchised, multi-national corporations conspire to keep them destitute and the only thing they have to fall back on is their opiate, their religion.” There is logic to this (albeit elitist and, let’s face it, racist) arguement. But seeing these images, I feel it is starting to ring hollow. Because Danish flags. . .I mean — *I* don’t know how to get a Danish flag!?!? And I’m not disenfranchised! I’m very enfranchised! Do you get ’em on Ebay? I don’t even know where to get an American flag? Do they sell them at the 99 cent stores near the subway? The little ones, maybe, on 4th of July. . .but the big ones?
