Am I nuts? You tell me.

You’re waiting on a long, slow-moving line at the Port Authority taxi dispatch. It’s almost your turn, but they let a woman in a wheelchair cut to the head of the line.

I agree that people with disabilities should be treated differently in certain situations — special parking, ramps, toilets — etc. But I do NOT understand why this woman was able to cut to the head of the line! Being in a wheelchair does NOT make it any more difficult to wait your turn in line.

IN FACT — it kinda makes it easier! They get to sit down! I has lugging two giant heavy bags (the whole reason I wasn’t taking the subway in the first place) and my back was hurting! I would have LOVED for a place to sit!

Well — the reverse-discrimination pissed me off so I wound up taking the subway, anyway.
