And once in a while an episode pops out of Voyager that is just as good as any of what you’ll find on the other shows.

A simple premise, really, a downed shuttle, Tuvok the Vulcan protecting emotional children – and then a Rod Serling-esque twist (obvious to those who’ve watched enough TAS.) The twist is heartfelt, good SF and simpatico with the Prime Directive. You don’t watch this and smack your forehead and think Picard would’ve played it differently.

Solid stuff.
