So my 3 and a half minute interview with Carolyn So-and-so (never quite got her name) on NBC/Channel 4’s Weekend Today In New York went well. It will air this upcoming Saturday AM — I am not sure when. . .as far as I know it will be any time between 6 and 10 AM. Obviously, I am trying to get a wee bit more info on that.
But it was fun. It was the same set Chuck Scarborough and Sue Simmons have been using since, roughly, 1935 — and it took a lot of self-censorship to keep from asking, “Where do you keep the corpse of Gabe Pressman?” I was able to slip a plug in for Ultrachrist! and got to hang with host Chris Gore in the green room. The last time I saw him was at a little promo thing hosted by Time Out New York at the bar above the Bowlmore Lanes and neither of us could figure out where to get a complimentary drink. (The Morgan Stanley party in the room next door wound up being the answer.)
Anyway here is a photo of Chris and I in front of a photo of Conan O’Brien, since we couldn’t find any “Weekend Today In New York” photos. We took another one where we weren’t blocking Conan’s head, but we look cooler in this one.
And here, a photo of Mr. Gore canoodling wth a styrophome beached whale which, so I am told, has been a frequent guest on Conan’s show lately. (I love Conan, just haven’t watched in a while.)
