Uh, I may have dozed off a bit, but not before recognizing the awesomeness of this movie.
Although, if this is set in the Persian Gulf 2000 years before Christ, why are some of the sets look like Medieval castles?
I don’t know what it is about giant gladiator movies that seem to think it is okay to make fun of dwarves. This movie is as offensive to Little People as Birth of a Nation is to African-Americans.
All said, there actually are some high production values here. Lots of extras, horses, swords, chariots, caged virgins and elaborate torture devices. What’s not to like?
