That the Daily News would wax poetic about the demise of the Times Sq. Hojo proves that they’ve never been there. This place was a dump with the most obnoxious staff in New York City. And that’s saying something. I remember being thrown out of there for sitting at the bar and ordering a 7-Up. The food there was inedible. If you want some flavor of old time New York, head one block west to 8th Ave. This place was overrun by tourists years ago. Let Times Sq. be what it wants to be: a Disneyland for tourists schlepping their American Girl Place bags all over town and looking for “The Ground Zero.” No New Yorker spends more time in Times Square than is absolutely necessary, especially since they built the Virgin Megastore on 14th St.
