I’m a sucker for anything that’s “spectacular.”
This reprint of a small arc from mid-2001 is some fairly typical Judd Winick/Kyle Rayner GL stuff. Kyle is a cool guy – maybe even the GL you’d most want to hang around. In these pages he champions his young, gay chum coming out of the closet and shrugs off an Oslo-esque peace agreement between two boneheaded factions of a warring (would be) beautiful planet.
I feel that this is definitely a product of its time.
