A heap of CDs were unloaded on me the other day, among them this Yes collection. I had fun listening to some of the old favorites (I still think “Close to the Edge” kicks ass — can’t say the same for “Ritual” from Tales from Topographic Oceans) but was startled to learn of a B-side of “Something’s Coming” from West Side Story. It’s about as proposterous as it sounds. Not quite as proposterous as their version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “America,” though. I just can’t believe I’m only learning about it now.
