Straightforward and great. Imagine “Shadow of a Doubt” meets “Road to Perdition” with some startling violence thrown in. There actually isn’t that much violence in this film, and not too graphic either, but the moments that are there are very nuanced. Also, two really, um, nuanced sex scenes. Again, no nudity, but, I dunno. . .everything seems very believable in this movie. That’s high praise for what is, essentially, a well-told & standard Hollywood yarn.
