I don’t know if the second season had the same oomph that the first one did, but I will say this: I’ve never seen a bad episode of 30 Rock and there’s usually one moment per episode where something so unexpected and hilarious happens that I have to rewind the DVD and play it six times. Sometimes, there’s more than one per episode.
Frankly, 30 Rock and Battlestar Galactica are the only uncancelled TV shows currently in existence I actually care about seeing more of. And The McLaughlin Group, of course.
Oh, and here’s how you know that Tina Fey is a comic genius: her commentary tracks are absolutely insufferable. A rambling, unfunny mess. We made it through about two minutes before we had to shut it off. All the best comics were either a bore in real life (or a jerk.) This is proven.
If 30 Rock and BSG are the only current shows you care about, may I kindly and respectfully suggest that you pull your head out from under whatever rock serves as its current shelter and get to watching the brilliant MAD MEN. I believe with 100% conviction that season two of Mad Men has been better than any feature film released in 2008. Like, nothing I can think of even comes close, at least no studio releases.
What about kevin smith in my dealings with him he has not been either boring or a jerk. neither was bruce campbell or chris rock. why it may be true for some it is not true of all maybe it has just been in your experience
If you consider Kevin Smith anything other than a talentless lucky duck who wound up at the right place at the right time with the right “so bad it is good” products to sell, then you and I have a different world view.
