Months after the conclusion of Season 5 finds the Federation deep in the Dominion War. Kira, Odo (and Jake) hold down Terok Nor, under the joint rule of Dukat and Weyoun. Garak aids Sisko in the destruction of a Ketracel-White manufacturing facility, and Nog somehow slips into being a useful member of the Defiant. These episodes are what we’ve all been working for – serialized DS9 and the best arc other than Wrath-Search-Voyage.
