Sometimes the B story is more exciting than the A story. Like here, where we get to see Worf’s Bar Mitzvah. Instead of braving a gauntlet of Aunts and Uncles to the Viennese table, he is zapped by hairy men with “Painstiks.” (Now I know how to say pain stick in Klingon.)
The other story involves Riker considering a promotion and reuniting with his estranged father. Sometimes Riker is a little pompous, so I was glad to watch him flop around in his ridiculous Anbo-jyutsu outfit.
