I do not lie to my JH.c readers. A lot of critics are doing somersaults and shouting shouting shouting about how much they love “Killer of Sheep” (finally getting its theatrical debut 30 years late.) But the truth is that when I went to bed last night and began going over my very full work & play day in my mind, I had completely forgotten that I took 90 minutes out of it to see this film. That can’t be a good sign. I enjoyed the movie as I watched it, respected its somewhat haphazard artistry, recognized that, given when and how it was made, it was quite an accomplishment, but it made no impression on me whatsoever.
