I, Mudd
Harcourt Fenton Mudd returns!! Everyone’s favorite space pirate, and he’s bringing mishigoss to the Enterprise. “I, Mudd” is not only the second appearance of Harry Mudd, it is also the second explicit reference to sex robots in the Star Trek Universe. And the third (at least!) time Kirk destroys a computer using logic. Again, the robots get their minds blown, start repeating a phrase (”illogical” in this case) faster and faster until they start smoking and collapse. Lots of really good goofy humor between Kirk, Spock & McCoy. Shatner’s undervalued (at this point in his career) comic timing shines on this one, particularly with his “oy vey!”-ish sighs and shrugs in the face of the nuisance-nemisis Harry Mudd.
